DJ Xpect lights up Alicia Keys’ “In Common”

In seeking to add flavor to her already amazing single “In Common”, American singer Alicia Keys has enlisted the help of a number of DJs and producers from across the world among them Lil Silva, Kenny Dope and most recently BET International Act-Africa Award winner Black Coffee.

The Singer has now tapped the skills of US based Kenyan DJ/producer, Xpect whose work is featured on her remixes EP album.

The Kenyan DJ is known for his signature sound ‘Afro-electronic’ where he fuses electronic music and percussive Afro Instruments, Xpect is the few African Deejays to spin on urban radio in the US as a live mix show turntablist, and has deejayed for the likes of the legendary Hip Hop group The Roots’ Questlove.

His remix of Alicia Keys’ track which followed the release by the South African House master Black Coffee is among his best work so far as a trendsetter DJ putting his sound signature on the global map.

Alicia Keys released her EP July 1 and it is available on ITunes and other platforms.
