Five Steez & Mordecai Share New EP ‘HeatRockz 2.0’

Jamaican Hip Hop MC Five Steez returns with new EP, a sequel to his 2016 EP, with a combined effort with his long-term collaborator Mordecai. The latest project housing four tracks was also produced by his worthy mate Mordecai.

The EP is a boom-bap experience, with gritty instrumentals accompanied by witty and sharp lyricism from Five Steez, whose execution characterizes an artist who goes through various transitions to becoming king.

According to the artists, the songs were done during the ‘lockdown’ period “with most of it written and recorded in one weekend.” The HeatRockz 2.0‘s release date was also moved up to “coincide with Bandcamp Friday to give back to the fans” supporting the duo.

The HeatRockz 2.0 EP released July 3, is currently available exclusively on Bandcamp until July 31 when it shall be released on all digital streaming platforms.
