No free Windows 10 after July 29

Microsoft will be shutting down its free upgrade to Windows 10 on July 29, the very day the software maker launched the latest Windows version in 2015.

The latest OS was offered to Windows 3 and 8.1 users as a free upgrade for a year, but at the lapse of the deadline Microsoft will start charging $119 for an upgrade to the improved version of the software.

For every upgrade during the free upgrade period, one is entitled for the free Anniversary Update which will be launched on August 2.
