Otile Brown & Kidum Profess Their Love For A Taken Lady In Smashing New Single ‘Leila’

Kenyan singer Otile Brown has shared a new single titled ‘Leila’ featuring renowned Kenyan based Burundian legendary crooner Kidum.

The song produced by Ihaji is a wistful love song, the two gifted singers attempt to out-do each other vocally as they express their love for a woman by the name of ‘Leila,’ backed up by impressive instrumentals and percussive conventions highlighted by sanguine chords and a vibrant bassline, a familiar Afropop structure.

The video directed by Deska Torres shows both Otile and Kidum, out and about with their hustle. They pause to sing about their evident desire to be in a relationship with a lady who is already taken, but in an abusive union with another man who exploits her trust. The two singers position themselves as the other option; the lady seems not to want to let go of her man.

‘Leila’ comes with the fourth official video from Otile Brown’s debut album Just In Love.
