Skyzoo Announces ‘Milestones’ EP, A Project About Fatherhood And The Importance Of It All

The American Hip Hop artist’s latest project seeks to rewrite the story or representation of fatherhood in the Hip Hop culture where most songs out there carry a negative connotation. The artist seeks to portray the positive side of fatherhood.

“This project is solely about growing up with a dad, being a dad, and the importance of it all. To all the fathers out here who are lovingly and actively doing the work, this one is for us.” The artists poses.

Skyzoo says he started the project in August last year as a one song and in a week it had turned into a full project. He cites Will Smith’s ‘Just the Two Of Us’ as one the few songs that have a positive representation of being a father in the hip hop world.

“This is a conceptual EP, where each song is a story that holds hands with the ones before and after it, all about my life as a kid, growing up with my father always in my life, and how that’s now shaped me as a father myself. It’s named “Milestones.” The artist says.

According to promo literature the song is named ‘Milestones’ after his son Miles and the milestones that dads reach in life as we grow into father.

The album is scheduled for release in on June 19
