After inking a deal with streaming service Spotify, through the Obama’s High Ground production company, former US first lady Michelle Obama will premier her much-touted podcast on July 29. While making the announcement, Mrs. Obama said that the first season of the shows will feature “some of the people I’m closest with; my mom, my brother, my friends, my colleagues, and many others.”
“Perhaps most of all, I hope this podcast will help listeners open up new conversations—and hard conversations—with the people who matter most to them. That’s how we can build more understanding and empathy for one another.” Michelle Obama, she said.
The former US First Lady said the show, which is expected to be driven by a conversational delivery in tackling issues around relationships that “make us who we are.”
