Trabolee Shares Animated Video For ‘CoinFlickedHead’

Multi-talented Kenyan rapper and poet Trabolee has shared new visuals for ‘Coinflickedhead’, a refixed version of the song that first appeared on his critically acclaimed Telos project released over a year ago.

Paradox does more justice to the unknowable than clarity does. Thus ‘Coinflickedhead’ is a song rooted in the constant push and pull that exists within many artists; the war of art. To be or to do, to be a voice of the times or to express who you are, to argue for your limitations constantly or to boss up and rise above the limitations set upon you.” The artist describes the song, “the proverbial coin can be tossed forever. All in all, this is resolved in the Telos project, where TRA discovers the only way to resolve our inner conflicts is to find a deeper purpose.” He concludes.

The Telos: Preaching To The Converted project, released in late 2018, was all about self-awareness and looking within oneself. As the artist said in an interview with Afroway, the full project is not meant to convince anyone. ‘Coinflickedhead’ was one of the songs that stood out from the dominant project.

The piece was redone at Drummaxx Studios with visuals created by Isaih Shirekuli. The original version is a creation of Dextraw. Both stables are based in Nairobi.
