What’s up, WhatsApp? Blackout hits messaging service
Popular instant messaging service WhatsApp hit by major blackout.
Facebook-owned instant messaging service WhatsApp has been hit by a major blackout in various countries and regions across the world causing confusion among its users.
The outage was due to an apparent server issue that made it impossible for the users to send and receive messages. Their WhatsApp web was also affected. The service has since been restored in many parts.
A similar problem was experienced in May this year.
