To mark its 10th anniversary, Xiaomi has revealed a new TV series dubbed the Mi TV Lux Transparent Edition touted by the company as the world’s first mass-produced transparent TV.
The new OLED TV with an edge-to-edge transparent self-luminous display appears like a see-through glass when turned off but when turned on images seem to be suspended in the air.
Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition is priced at around $7,200 and will be available in the Chinese retail market from August 16.

The TV is equipped with an AI Master Smart Engine and supports AI Master for Audio, along with the MediaTek 9650 custom-made TV chip with over 20 optimization algorithms and dedicated optimization for 5 major use scenarios, the device intelligently refines graphic resolution to create vibrant pictures. It also comes with a 10-bit panel displays 1.07 billion color combinations.

The hardware features a 5.7mm ultra-thin body rectangular screen and a round base. The base stand is covered with a millimetre-grade finish that resembles compact discs blending perfectly into any surroundings.
