Zuchu Unveils Video For ‘Mauzauza’ Featuring Legendary Taarab Singer Khadija Kopa

The budding singer has treated her fans to visuals for yet another gem from her critically acclaimed EP ‘Iam Zuchu.‘ The single features her singing with her mother, the Taarab legend Khadija Kopa.

The video, directed by Kenny, pictures a rather familiar story themed around a nosy neighbor, mistrust & jealousy; an envious neighbor who goes to all length including using witchcraft to win over another woman’s man but her streak doesn’t last long as she’s called out and exposed in public. Zuchu, who plays the aggrieved character also shows us her moves as she moves to the celebratory sways alongside Khadija Kopa and her band who also grace the colorful video.

The WCB Wasafi signee shines on productions by Mocco Genius taking turns with Khadija Kopa making a perfect performance combination between mother and daughter. The song, written by Khadija Kopa, Mbosso and WCB Wasafi boss Diamond Platnumz, sits on light productions leaning heavily on Taarab structure and intonations.
